The Darker Side of Venusian Energies

A Glimpse into the Powers of Love and Money

Now that Venus is Direct in Leo you may have been noticing everything is still NOT copacetic. What is going on? Why does it not feel better in the outside world. Life just seems a little darker right now. I feel this is because we are still in the DIRECT SHADOW energies of both Venus and Mercury.

This effect all of us in the areas of Love, Sex, Money, Communication, Commerce and Transportation.

For now, we will focus on the planet Venus.

Venus, the second planet from the Sun, is often associated with love, beauty, and abundance due to its namesake, the Roman goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. In astrology, Venusian energies are believed to govern our desires, values, and the way we relate to others, particularly in the realms of love and finances.

While Venus is typically associated with harmony, pleasure, and attraction, the darker, less talked about side, is about how these energies that can manifest in our lives, impacting our relationships and financial well-being.

When we start to see these energies play out, either inside ourselves or observing others, we can start to take ownership and action to stay in the light around Love and Money, so we can create the best life possible.

This is always my goal in giving information. Let’s see how great your life can be.

When Venus goes Direct it’s an opportunity to clear out what you experienced during the retrograde and right now, it’s been hurtful and a little messy, to say the least.

The Shadow Side of Love

1. Obsession and Possessiveness:

Venusian energies can lead to an intense desire for love and connection, which, when unbalanced, can morph into obsession and possessiveness. Individuals may find themselves overly attached to their partners, seeking constant reassurance and validation, leading to unhealthy dynamics and potential emotional turmoil, especially if there is some kind of outside stress happening.

2. Manipulation and Control:

The dark side of Venus can manifest as manipulative behaviors aimed at controlling loved ones. This can include emotional blackmail, guilt-tripping, expecting others to do what you want them to do, gas lighting, dominating conversations and other coercive tactics to maintain power and influence in relationships.

3. Superficiality and Materialism:

Venus’s association with beauty and aesthetics can lead to an overemphasis on physical appearance and material possessions. This superficial focus can result in shallow relationships based on external attributes rather than genuine connection and mutual respect. How good and deep do you want your love life to be?

*4. Inappropriate Sexual Relations:

Venus’s association with “love” is intertwined with sexual energy, although as a society we rarely directly discuss this. During this brief period direct shadow period, old memories (of past sexual encounters of abuse) may appear for review and hopefully healing and transformation. During this time take GREAT care with yourself. One cannot control memories or other’s speech/actions that can recall such incidents.

Reach out and get help.

Sexual energy is primal and powerful, more than we realize and it’s important to get the LOVE one needs during these types of times.

This too, shall pass and the Light side of Love will prevail.

The Shadow Side of Money

1. Greed and Excess:

Venusian energies are linked to abundance and wealth, but when distorted, they can give rise to greed and excessive indulgence. The pursuit of material wealth can overshadow moral and ethical considerations, leading to exploitation and harm.

2. Financial Dependency:

The desire for security and comfort, governed by Venus, can lead to financial dependency on others. This dependency can create power imbalances in relationships and hinder personal growth and autonomy.

3. Impulsive Spending:

The pleasure-seeking aspect of Venus can manifest as impulsive and reckless spending, leading to financial instability and debt. The pursuit of immediate gratification can overshadow long-term financial planning and responsibility. I know I’ve been wanting to rack up the credit cards!!!

Balancing Venusian Energies

Recognizing and addressing the dark aspects of Venusian energies is crucial for maintaining healthy relationships and financial well-being. Here are a few steps to balance these energies:

  1. Cultivate Self-Awareness: Reflect on your behaviors and motivations in relationships and finances. Identify any unhealthy patterns and work towards addressing them.

  2. Set Boundaries: Establish clear and healthy boundaries in relationships to prevent manipulation and control. Communicate your needs and expectations openly and assertively. Use the power of your voice to get what you truly desire.

  3. Prioritize Inner Values: Focus on inner qualities and values rather than external appearances and possessions. Seek genuine connections based on mutual respect and shared values. It’s OK to say NO to someone when you are not vibrating with them.

  4. Practice Financial Responsibility: Develop a realistic budget, avoid impulsive spending, and prioritize long-term financial goals. Cultivate a balanced and sustainable approach to wealth and abundance.

  5. Seek Professional Guidance: Consult relationship counselors or financial advisors to navigate challenges and receive support in making informed and balanced decisions.

While Venusian energies can bring love, beauty, and abundance into our lives, their shadow side can lead to obsession, manipulation, and financial recklessness. By cultivating self-awareness, setting healthy boundaries, and prioritizing inner values, we can navigate the complexities of love and money and embrace the positive aspects of Venusian energies.

Remember, the journey to balance and harmony is ongoing, and it requires continuous effort and reflection to maintain equilibrium in our relationships and financial endeavors.
